I loved getting to know Abigale and Kody at their engagement session at Wormsloe Plantation and Tybee Island beach in Savannah, Georgia! Abigale attends SCAD and is on their fishing team and Kody is a police officer, how awesome are they!? Savannah is one of my all time favorite cities, and luckily it’s just a short drive up the coast. With its classic southern charm, mossy oak trees and cobblestone streets, it’s a southern loving photographers dream around every corner! And Wormsloe Plantation has been on my “location bucket list” for quite some time – mainly due to the fact that part of the Nicholas Sparks movie, “The Last Song” was filmed there! So I was super excited when Abigale decided that’s where she wanted to take her engagement photos. She also really had her heart set on having photos at the beach as well, so we made that happen!
After finishing up at Wormsloe, we made our way over to Tybee Island Beach! (Part of ‘The Last Song” was filmed here too hah! How obvious is it that I’m a big fan of the movie?) And, of course, it started raining the entire drive to the beach. But while they were changing into outfit #2 the skies cleared and it turned out to be a gorgeous evening! I’d never been to Tybee Island before and it was just the cutest little beach town. I can’t wait to come back and explore when I have more time!
Abigale and Kody are clearly so in love, making my job to photograph their love so easy! I’m so excited to have them in front of my camera again at their upcoming June wedding at The Mackey House, also located in Savannah. I’m looking forward to being back in this beautiful city and to see these two again to document their special day!
