Abigale and Kody had a summer, brunch wedding at The Mackey House in Savannah, Georgia. I first met Abigale and Kody at their engagement session at the beginning of the year at Wormsloe Plantation, also in Savannah. I’ve loved them from the beginning. We had so much fun at their session and they were up for any idea I had. By the time their wedding day arrived, I honestly felt more like a friend walking in than just their photographer. It really is so hard to pick my favorite parts of a wedding day, but I loved their outdoor ceremony. They wrote their own vows and Ivory & Beau made the most beautiful floral arch as their backdrop. Abigale looked like a princess in her stunning ballgown and flower crown of peonies – what dreams are made of! Another highlight of their day was the father/daughter dance. I don’t think their was a dry eye in the room, including mine! It was just the sweetest to see the relationship between Abigale and her dad on her wedding day.
Guests were greeted with mimosas and after the ceremony donuts and coffee were served by the lake. During the reception chicken and waffles amongst other yummy brunch foods were served and then the dancing began and didn’t stop! There was an amazing horse and carriage waiting for the couple and it was so cute when guests blew bubbles as Kody and Abigale left the reception. The most perfect ending to a southern wedding! I’m so glad that our paths crossed and I was able to be the one to document this special day.
