The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island Destination Wedding | Liz and Luke

Liz and Luke live in Chicago and planned a destination wedding at The Ritz Carlton Amelia Island. I first met them at their engagement session back in May and just fell in love with them! They are truly two of the kindest people I’ve ever met and I’m so glad our paths crossed!

As their wedding date approached, I of course started looking at the weather. In typical Florida fashion, a tropical storm appeared and was predicted to cross Amelia Island on their wedding day. Neither Liz nor Luke seemed phased by this and you’ll see in their photos it certainly didn’t stop the celebration either! While the heavy rains held off for most of the day, the strong winds carried on which moved the ceremony indoors. It was still absolutely beautiful and one of my favorite parts of their day! Luke mentioned earlier in the day that he was looking forward to the ceremony because of all the personal touches they had planned. Luke’s two daughters each read a poem and later they all poured sand from individual glasses into one, officially unifying their family. Liz and Luke also wrote the most heartfelt, personal vows to one another that had everyone both in tears and laughing at different points in the ceremony.

I feel incredibly honored to have been a part of this beautiful day and I’m excited to share some of my favorite moments below!
