Holly and Martin were married at the historic Riverside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida with a reception following at Timuquana Country Club. The day started at the home of Holly’s parents where the bride and bridesmaids spent the morning getting ready and sharing plenty of laughs and memories with each other. After final makeup touches and choosing the perfect pair of earrings, it was time for her to put on her dress!! This is always one of my favorite parts of a wedding day and Holly looked absolutely stunning in her classic ballgown. Next, before leaving for the ceremony, she shared a first look with dad. Her mom watched from nearby with tears in her eyes and then joined them and they took time and prayed together. It was such a sweet moment. Holly’s mom also gave her a special gift; a necklace that was actually her first engagement stone that she had made into a beautiful necklace for Holly to wear on her wedding day.
Their ceremony was at Riverside Baptist Church; a historic church that is so unique and filled with character and many amazing architectural details. It was a beautiful ceremony and I loved that the minister was a family friend of the bride that had known them for over 20 years! The evening continued at the the also historic Timuquana Country Club on the St. Johns River with incredible views of the downtown Jacksonville skyline! After cocktail hour it was time for introductions and first dances. I loved that Holly not only had a first dance with her dad, but that she also shared a special dance with her grandfather. As guests enjoyed a seated dinner, the maid and matron of honor, along with the best, man gave entertaining and heartfelt speeches as they toasted the newly married couple! The rest of the evening was filled with fun and dancing -and Martin really had fun on the dance floor!!! Holly’s face was just priceless as he caught her attention on the dance floor with moves she had never seen before! One of the funniest moments of the night! Holly and Martin’s classic and elegant wedding was a wonderful from start to finish and I loved being a part of this special day!
