Jen and Justin were originally going to get married in Italy this past April, and Jen had been wedding planning for over a year. Like so many brides this year, Jen had to put their original plans on hold and make some hard decisions. When Jen first contacted me, she told me that they were still planning to get married and wanted to have a small, intimate celebration in Beaufort, South Carolina with close family and friends. I was so excited to be part of this special day and Jen and Justin felt like old friends when we finally met!
The day started at a house they rented where everyone was spending time together and getting ready. Their ceremony was close by at the historic Chapel of Ease Ruins, and it was so sweet because Jen’s brother officiated the ceremony. And, I just have to say, this couple looked amazing!! Justin in a classic black tux and Jen in a fitted dress with delicate lace sleeves. After the ceremony, we went back to the house where they shared a first dance, cut the cake and toasted with Jen’s favorite French champagne. Before dinner, everyone changed into comfortable clothes and got ready to light sparklers to celebrate the newlyweds! It was so much fun, and of course Jen looked absolutely adorable in her dress and black and white gingham sandals.
Even though it was different than they originally planned, at the end of the day they are married! The day was just beautiful from start to finish and a perfect celebration of their love for one another! Cheers to the next chapter in your story, Mr. & Mrs. Story! 😉
